Membership Fee

Hong Kong Texas Exes has been providing free membership to our fellow alumni. The objective of free membership is to encourage all UT alumni in Hong Kong to join the organization so that we can have as many members as possible and that we can provide a bigger network for our alumni. The downside of this policy is that we lack the necessary financial resources to organize grander activities because of the financial risks involved.

Our money is mainly contributed by members and officers attending our events and from donations of more senior alumni during some special dinners. These contributions have been used to subsidize some of the past events. The University is not giving us financial support.

A few years ago, we have decided that we would start to accept membership fee on a voluntary basis to tackle this issue. Members may choose to pay membership fees to support our chapter financially. Here is the fee schedule:

Lifetime membership –
HKD750 or USD100 one time payment

Annual membership –
HKD100 or USD15 per annum, with paid membership starting on the payment date and ending on the same day of the following year

Members who pay membership fees will receive discounts for attending selected activities while their paid membership is in effect. They and other donors will also be recognized in our web site.
