The University of Texas Wind Ensemble 2014 Around the World Tour

Report

From Newsletter #7:

The UT Wind Ensemble visited Hong Kong as part of their tour around the world and had a concert held at the Tsuen Wan Concert Hall on May 29.  About a dozen alumni took this opportunity to enjoy the music played by our students.  The band is conducted by Professor Jerry Junkin and features Professor Nathan Williams who is the Clarinet Soloist.  The highlight of the concert, at least to the ears of our alumni, was the playing of “The Eyes of Texas”.

The audience was extremely pleased by the performance and the final applause lasted a few minutes.

Invitation

The University of Texas Wind Ensemble is going to perform in Hong Kong on May 29 (Thursday) 8pm at Tsuen Wan Town Hall Auditorium.  The brochure of the concert is attached below.  If you are interested you can purchase your tickets through URBTIX with the following link:
Since URBTIX is notorious for its capacity, you may want to purchase the tickets at a physical counter.  A list of the counters is available here:
When you have purchased your tickets, please let us know.  If there is enough interest, we can have a gathering either before or after the performance.
May the ‘Horns be with y’all!
