Members Winson Chan and Victor Nip are organizing a sport and dinner event for us. You may participate in either or both parts of the event as you wish.
Air-pistol shooting is an Olympic sport which is practiced by people in many countries. It requires the shooters’ maximum concentration and that is why it is a good sport to help people escape from the pressure of the workplace. In the 2-hour beginner course, you will learn how to handle firearms safely and how to shoot with an air-pistol accurately, and put the theories into “practice”. Our dinner venue Inn Side Out used to be situated at Sunning Plaza. After the building was demolished for redevelopment, it moved into the SCAA building. Inn Side Out offers a wide range of beers for your selection, some of which is hard to be found in other places.
Here are the details of the event:
Date: October 29, 2016 (Saturday)
Time: 3pm for shooting course, 6:15pm for dinner

Fee:
Shooting course: $150 to $300 depending on number of participants (5 to 10 people) + SCAA membership fee (if applicable)
Dinner: Buy your own dinner and drinks (SCAA membership not required)
The course will cost a total of $1,500. The cost will be shared among the course participants. We will cancel the event and issue refunds if the number of course participants is less than 5. Due to the rules of SCAA, the course may only be delivered to SCAA members. If you are not a member of SCAA, you may apply for membership on the spot (i.e., 3pm on that day). Membership fee is $120 per year or $60 per month, or if you prefer be a life member at $1,200.
If you are interested in the course, please deposit $300 per person into one of the accounts listed below before October 14 (Friday). Family and guests are welcomed. After you have made your deposit, please email the evidence to hongkong@alumni.utexas.net
