UT Austin Hong Kong Alumni and Student Networking Mixer

Report

Under the supervision of the International Office of UT, more than a dozen current UT students came to Hong Kong for their internship during the summer. The International Office invited our alumni to meet the interns on June 29 at Cafe 8 near the Hong Kong Maritime Museum. More than 20 persons, about half of them being interns and the other half being alumni, joined the event.

Some of the interns asked our alumni for information about working in Hong Kong as they have been enjoying their stay in Hong Kong so far, and our alumni learned from the interns the latest information about UT. One of the interns was actually from Hong Kong and was the current President of Hong Kong Student Association. Our alumni were eager to learn from him the lives of Hong Kong students there.

The gathering was schedule to end at 8:30pm, but the party stayed till the end of the business hours of Cafe 8 at 9:30pm. It was an event enjoyed by all the participants.
