This year, because we have such a late Chinese New Year, we are combining the Spring Dinner and the AGM/Texas Independence Day Dinner events. Our Spring Dinner event has been traditionally a full house event. It is something that our members should not miss.

An unofficial program of viewing the Fiesta Bowl Boise State vs. Oklahoma Game will be held before the official event. Please contact Victor Nip at if you are interested in watching one of the most exciting games in College football history.

“The History of Texas Longhorn Football”

Our president has bought the DVD from Texas. He wants to share the DVD with our fellow alumni and raise some funds for the organization. Produced in 2006, the DVD is about the greatest moments of Texas football’s storied history, from the early days of beloved trainer “Doc Henry” Reeves, and the construction of the Memorial Stadium in 1924, through the eras of legendary coaches Dana X. Bible and Darrell K. Royal. Follow Longhorns on their journey to football excellence! The 2005 Horns defeating college powerhouse USC game is also captured in this video. This riveting retrospective highlights the most significant milestones in Longhorn history as told through the cherished voices and images of the players, coaches and photographers who lived them. Whether it is their 1969 showdown with number two Arkansas in “The Game of the Century”, or their unprecedented 1941 appearance on the cover of Life magazine, it’s all in the DVD.

Annual General Meeting

Our President will give a presentation about the activities in the past fiscal year and the plans for the following fiscal year. Members will also be asked to approve the committee of the follow fiscal year.

As in the past 2 years, we will have a Chinese dinner in the Chinese restaurant Shing Hin inside the City University. As agreed by our fellow members, the restaurant serves very good Chinese food at affordable prices. Auction of Longhorn items and interesting games will be held during the dinner.
